Alexa & Sam: Prospect Park / Park Slope Engagement Shoot

Alexa and Sam brought me to the Prospect Park Boathouse and surrounding areas of the park for their September shoot. Somehow in all my Brooklyn years I had not made my way to the boathouse till this day. The Boathouse borders Prospect Park Lake and a picturesque bridge which certainly enhance its fairyland quality. I always scout the area I am photographing prior to shoot and look for the best angles, backdrops, and light to place my subjects. Alexa and Sam’s shoot started on a quintessential Park Slope block for some neighborhood/ street shots and then we made our way to the park, finishing at the Boathouse. I am always so happy to meet my clients for engagement shoots, get to know them, and put them more at ease in front of the camera (if they even need it;). It was a pleasure to meet and shoot Alexa and Sam who especially when looking at one another were so easy and natural - and I look forward to their upcoming Spring wedding!
